Lothar Osterburg builds miniature models out of salvaged objects. After photographing the tiny constructions, Osterburg prints the images as photogravures. This traditional printmaking process, which involves etching the photographic image into a copper plate, has a wide range of continuous black and gray tones and a textured quality that compliments the rough fabrication of Osterburg's models. He was born in 1961. I like his work because it like you’re in a dream like state and his prints are relaxing to look at.
