Troy Williams born and raised in Brooking, South Dakota. He graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2002. He is the recipient of a 2003/04 MCAD/Jerome Fellowship. His first solo show opened in 2006 at MUDIMAdrie in Antwerp, Belgium.His series is called I Want to Know What Love Is, I Want You to Show Me. His series showed above is influenced by adolescence. His images make references to tv shows in the '70s and '80s with expressions of teenage romance. His images also proclaim that adolescence is powerful. The illusions of heroics and romance are shown through out his work.
